1. What university or college do you want to attend once you graduate from high school?

The college that I want to attend is, Full Sail University.

Why? (Write at least four sentences.)

I want to attend this university because it offers many programs of many different things. This college offers programs that have to do with arts. For example, film, entretainment, graphic design, music, etc. Eventhough I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, this univeristy really gets my attention.

Where is this school located?

Explain why a college degree would be important to your future.

A college degree is important for our future because it's a way of getting a job easier due to your curriculum. It also helps you to not only get a job, but a job that you sure will be successful in.

Assignment 3

1.What does the video say about how media influence works on individual people?
The media influence us in many different ways. It either influence us in good or bad ways. The media is a really useful tool that we use everyday because we use either computers, televisions, newspapers and magazines. it affect us in a positive way because is a way we know what's happening around the world. But it also affect us in a negative way because we sometimes over use the media and waste our time in webpages such as Facebook scrolling down the news feed without actually doing something.


2.What is your favorite fact pointed out in the video? Explain why fact is important or interesting to you.
My favorite fact pointed out in the video was how much Facebook has grown over the past years. Also that in 20 minutes million of activities are done in Facebook including, status updates, posting pictures, liking other people's posts, etc. Not only this but also the billion of users that join every day.















3. How is multimedia effecting our daily lives? Do you think there such a thing as "too much media" in our lives?
Multimedia is effecting our daily lives by giving us everything we want to know in a short period of time, making it easier of us. I think that there is such a thing as "too much media" because sometimes we spend our time on things that are not necessary such as social media where we just talk to people when we can be reading the news either on the newspaper or online.

1. What media is used in my everyday life?
The media is used in my everyday life in many ways. Media is the main means of mass communication. These include, TV, radio, newspapers, and the internet. I use the media in my everyday life by watching TV, using the computer and the internet to check Facebook and other webpages.

 

2. In what ways have I used multimedia for a class assignment before? 

I've used multimedia for class assignments the past three weeks. I've created a PowerPoint presentation taking screenshots. I also use the multimedia to gather some information for the assignments such as defining words or to look up pictures.   

3. Explain how the World Wide Web is considered multimedia.

The World Wide Web is considered multimedia because the meaning of multimedia is using more than one medium of expression or communication. This makes the World Wide Web a part of multimedia because when being connected to the internet, you can be using more than one page and have many of them open. Doing more than one thing at a time.

4. What is the difference between time-based media and static-media? Give examples of each.

The difference between time-based media and static-media is that time-based media are images that move. For example, videos, music, and pictures. And static-media is the media that it includes does not move, for example, newspapers, magazines, and books.

 5. Insert a video (into your blog) that discusses/shows/involves multimedia you are interested in. Now answer the following questions after you insert the video. How is this multimedia? Why does this interest you?

 Define the following terms by researching for answers on the World Wide Web. 

6. Adobe Flash-  is a multimedia system for computers that is generally accessed through a web browser,

7. Programming Languages- a simple language system designed to facilitate the writing of computer programs

8. Scripting Language (program)-  a programming language designed for integrating and communicating with other programming languages

9. Interactivity- a multimedia system in which related items of information are connected and can be presented together

10. Pixel- a minute area of illumination on a display screen, one of many from which an image is composed.
